Flower Stand Program
Floritculture, design, retail, and life skills with employment as the goal
The Flower Stand Program provides hands on, real life training in floral design, customer service, money handling, floriculture, and horticulture. Participants learn by "doing" in our gardens and design studio, and through staffing the flower stand during supervised service. The program includes field trips and guest speakers. Students create arrangements for all on-site events and also participate in the design and arrangements for select off-site events, which builds real client service and professional readiness.
Designed for individuals with moderate to high functioning disabilities who have interest in floriculture, design, retail, and customer service. Suggested three year attendance following a readiness evaluation. The program advances education, employment, life skills, health, and well-being.
